In love with Valencia

When I think about Valencia I remind myself about the delicious food, crazy nightlife, the place where the innovation and creativity had a revelation and the sunny and warm days strolling the beach. This September I traveled together with my friend to Valencia for the first time and it was fabulous. One full weekend was not enough for the third biggest city of Spain, but still we managed to see some beautiful places and taste some delicious food.

Here are some recommendations for foodies:

Paella at Taberna Selecta Canela, Valencia
Grilled vegetables at Casa Vidal, Valencia

Grilled swordfish at Casa Vidal, Valencia
Mercat Central, Valencia

Cafe Artysana is one of the best places I’ve ever been. The food is simply the best, but also the place has it’s own history and the owner is so nice and thoughtful. If you are craving for some delicious avocado brunch, please give it a try.

One important thing I would love to recommend if you plan on visiting Valencia is to have an organized tour for the street art. This city offers an abundance of graffiti and it has a lot of history behind every art on the wall. There are literally so many, we were walking and finding at every corner. I would suggest you take a guided tour, believe me or not the art is incredibly beautiful and unique, it would be way better to know the idea behind it.

It was end of September but still super hot. The only way to avoid sun is walking in the parks with weird trees, and you can find many of them in Valencia.

As I mentioned in the beginning of this post, in Valencia you can find some of the most creative and modern buildings, like the one below.

While in Valencia it is a pity if you do not spend some time on the beach.

Such a wonderful experience traveling to Valencia. I would go again just for the food, street art, modern buildings and the beach. Don’t loose more time and visit Valencia, it is so worth it.
