Already 2 weeks passed and I still hear the music in my head, I guess thank you Colours for this. This year I had the unique opportunity to experience the festival Colours of Ostrava from a different angle, which is as a press attendee, how cool is that??? For those who did not hear about Colours before, wait are you serious??? Well, you should know that Colours of Ostrava is the biggest music festival in Czech Republic. Every year in July they open their up to 20 indoor and outdoor stages to host famous performers for 4 days long. The venue is the aspect that makes this festival truly unique! In an old coal mine very close to the main train station, the festival is located in the middle of an industrial site with the rusty machines and old buildings all around.
Please check my last post about Colours from last year here.

This is my second year going to Colours of Ostrava festival, and I already know that it will be a third and a fourth because it is simply the best. This edition I enjoyed so much because we had VIP access, courtesy of TBEXOstrava which made everything so easy, comfortable and accessible. In the beginning I must say I was a bit skeptical because I was traveling alone and did not know anyone, but since more travel bloggers were joining as part of TBEX conference, in the end it was even better than I expected. I had the unique opportunity to meet like-minded people and become good friends.
This year the Colours of Ostrava festival was highlighted by the presence of Kygo, Paul Kalkbrenner, Joss Stone, Jessie J, Lucky Chops, Seasick Steve, N.E.R.D with Pharrel, Kaleo, Ziggy Marley and many others.
My first time I saw Lucky Chops live, and I loved it. A great way to start the festival as their performance was so entertaining with beats.

Ostrava is the third largest city in Czech Republic. The first time I saw the city I thought it is so industrial and buildings, I was quite surprised to climb the Town Hall and see the green everywhere around. Also, I usually enjoy running when visiting a new place, and since I was staying close to a forest I had fun exploring it while keeping myself active.

I left the festival very happy, tired as hell but hey it was a festival – I was not supposed to sleep :). Everything was so perfect, I loved the line up, the people I met and all the parties. Thank you TBEX for making it happen and for the experience that will stay with me forever. For all of you who did not know about Colours, please go and convince for yourself that this is one of the best music festivals ever.
You definitely need to save that picture of you with the hard hat. It’s great 🙂
