Prague is magnificent, a lovely city with a lot to see and explore. Situated on Vltava River, the capital city of the Czech Republic is a perfect destination for adventurers and people who seek good food and an extraordinary culture. I spent 3 days strolling the old stone streets of Prague, admiring the architecture and the perfectly colored buildings, while enjoying the famous Trdelnik and hoping that time will stop. Prague impressed me a lot and I want to share with you photos of nice places in Prague.
The Charles Bridge and the famous bohemian statues placed on both balustrades of the bridge is a must if you are in Prague. It is nice to walk and take pictures, while admiring the view. Please, be aware that it is really crowded.
The Prague Castle is a huge and again one of main landmarks of Prague. We crossed the river on the Charles Bridge and climbed up to the castle, it is very easy to go as there are signs everywhere. The second we crossed the river on another bridge and climbed up first to the Letenske Park and then went up to the castle.
The Old Town Square with the astronomical clock
The Jewish Town is another specialty of Prague, and you will find several unique synagogues in the Jewish Quarter. There are very nice buildings in this quarter.
Petrin View Tower is the Eiffel Tower, just in smaller dimensions, way smaller. It is actually a reduced copy of the Eiffel Tower and has 299 steps that lead to the top platform.
Vysehrad was originally the seat of the Czech princess and the kings. Consider spending at least half a day, it is a small town in the city. For a special interest I found the church of St. Peter and Paul and the cemetery, used as a burial site of the Czech outstanding personalities.
The Dancing House is another considerable landmark of Prague. The buildings are named this way (in Czech: Tancici dum) because of the towers reminding of the famous dancers Ginger Rogers and Fred Astair.
Prague has much to offer and there are so many interesting activities to do in this old and rich city. This was a worthy trip with a bunch of good memories.
