Hello dears!!! I hope you are doing just fine and enjoying this weekend as much as me. God blessed us with a perfect weather and a sunny day, when everyone hurried to go out and to savor the first signs of upcoming Spring. It was warm and the temperature rose to 14 degrees today. My family visited me in Vienna this Sunday, and I had so much fun.
This was my first attempt to explore some sightseeing of Vienna, since I spent almost all my previous weekends in Linz and also didn’t have enough free time. That is hope for a good and promising start 🙂 So I had to meet my family at the Westbahnhof, and they came bearing presents for me. They know I like flowers :). We then had brunch at ANDYS & MIKES, recommended by a good friend and I feel like I must recommend it further. It is a really nice place, with a modern and unique interior design and a cozy and warm ambiance. I appreciate it for the huge variety of meals, you can literally have a copious breakfast there, and especially for the creamy and aromatic cappuccino. The service was always polite and friendly, very helpful when asked.
After the brunch, we headed to the Schönbrunn Palace. The most fascinating for me was to see so many people out there, laying on the grass, while the sun caresses their cheeks. I already foresee that this place will become my favorite in Vienna. It is absolutely gorgeous, with its gardens, architecture and the many spots where you can lay down and enjoy the day in the fresh air.
Beside Schönbrunn Palace we managed to get to the city center, to the Stephansplatz, and Stephan’s Dom, Hofburg Palace, Museums Quartier, Rathaus and Parlament. The day was perfect for walking and admiring the achitecture, some sculptures and of course for taking pictures. I wish though we could go to Belvedere, but we will just leave it for the next time, as I will definitely want a next time 🙂
I hope you enjoy my first post bearing pictures of Vienna, and I also hope you would like some more. Wish you all a productive week, and thank you!
Wow ana, gorgeous post. Waiting for some more 😊

Itinerary has many variables. More or less Germany in June, then to England and then fly to Spain and hitchhike around down there. For complete details, drggautier@gmail.com. But at least you can now figure Vienna into the Germany segment 🙂

Vienna is Beautiful. I was there last summer. You have to visit the Zoo, Ana! It’s wunderbar. Take a look on my blog to see only a small part of the Zoo, the tropical forest. The aquarium worth a chance, too.
